The last 2 years have had the most progress.
Over the years, I have installed front disc brakes. I am using the 11.75 inch rotors so I can only go 15 inch wheels.
Thanks to Rich Kinsley, I installed a 3:54 Dana 60. Green bearings come in Spring 2006.
The first engine I had developed four cracks in the block, so I searched for another 413 to bore .060 and put all the internals in. I upgraded to Mopar Performance intake, and found a handmade solid LH motor mount. I also bought a Centerforce clutch.

I had the Dodge running and drove for five months in 2003, and it was terrific!
The Dodge is currently in storage until late Spring 2006 when when disassembly, primer and paint are done. I am using a GM color, Chevy Indigo Blue. My personalized plate says BLTHNDR, and it will be.
Wheel combo will be Torque Thrust D 5 spokes. The hood scoop is fiberglass with molded in studs and it turned out real well during installation.
The Dodges interior will not be original either. Im looking for 70s style buckets/headrests and doing them in vinyl and cloth. My body man is donating an old Sun Tach II that actually works for another touch.

Thanks to Andy Grow, Im getting his old 64 Dodge Polara 500 chrome because I think its cool, and this car will be far from original, but will look it.
Thanks for reading my tale.

I just got the Mopar home from the body shop. I have a lot to do over the winter. Then the Dodge goes back again in the spring to be buffed and all the trim installed. |
