1963 Dodge Polara

1963 Dodge Polara driver's side Randy Edwards writes: My 1963 Dodge Polara now has 30,000 original documented miles.
The paint is 80% original, interior is 100% original, but the drive train is all new.

1963 Dodge Polara Max Wedge engine I put in a Max Wedge set-up for show and a little go.

I started with the stock 1963 Max Wedge 3447s carbs, cross
ram intake, 286 heads and Max exhaust manifolds. The
short block is a 440 bored 70 over with a stroked crank
with 7.5 rods, and 12 to 1 compression. The 727 push button
transmission was rebuilt for this motor by Dynamic Racing,
and other features include a Dennis drive shaft,
Mosher axles and a Randy's Ring and Pinion 3rd member.

I'm very happy with the performance and dependability.
The car always wins its class at the car show and runs a 12.22 1/4 mile.

Thanks Randy!

Your Dodge was posted as the July 1999 " Mopar of the Month" before the new drive train, featuring a dual quad poly 318.

Back then you were debating a big block transplant.

The Max won out, and it does look great in your Dodge!   smile!
